Explore how families come together to share festive meals, light up the night skies, and honor their rich heritage through music, lanterns, and dance.

China – Chinese New Year (Spring Festival)

We cheer for the New Year, loud and sweet!
This ancient festival started thousands of years ago to mark the end of cold winter and welcome the farming season of spring.
Did You Know? According to legend, people originally used loud firecrackers and red decorations to scare away a mythical winter beast named Nian.
Fun Fact: The color red is used everywhere because legend says the beast Nian was completely terrified of bright colors!
India – Raksha Bandhan

Nepal – Dashain
